City and State: Tucson

Looking for Anyone: Roxanne Peters

I'm another one of those people that never left Tucson. I attended U of A until '72 when I quit (dumb move) to get married. I had two sons, Aaron, now 28, and Jonathan, now 25, and was divorced in 1985.

I remarried in 1987 and was widowed in 1998. I have two grandchildren, Madison, 6, and Jonathan Jr., 3, plus another one on the way.

I've worked for USDA-Agricultural Research Service for 30 years, the last 24 as an Administrative Officer. So boring, but I'm stable! Two more years to retirement!

In 1999 I moved to 5 acres off of Sandario Road with three dogs. One day I hope to add a horse or two.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Mark McCormick

City and State: Westminster, Colorado

Joined the Air Force and went over to Okinawa, then did a stint in Thailand, just before the end of the Vietnam Conflict.

Came back to Tucson and went to Pima College for awhile, got married in 1975 (to a wonderful girl from Sunny Side High!), joined AT&T, and dropped out of Pima. My wife Marilyn and myself have 2 wonderful kids, a boy and a girl (he is now 28 and she 26). We moved to Denver with in 1986, and stayed with AT&T until 2002, putting in almost 27 years.

During that time I went back to college and got a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, and went on to get an MBA with an emphasis in International Business.

Now, in my semi-retirement, I teach Economics, and International Business in a Masters Program at Regis Universtiy, in Denver Colorado. It is an affiliate faculty position instead of a full-time faculty assignment, so it is part time and I love it.

I hope to be able to get to this reunion and see everyone, but my wife has a 35th at Sunny Side on Oct 15-17, so I am not sure we can come down to Tucson for both of them. Anyway, I wish everyone well, and hope the reunion is a big hit.

Judy Coleman Palmer

City and State: Greenville, South Carolina

Looking for Anyone: Cindy Landeen, Carol Garland

After CHS graduation, I had surgery twice that summer which delayed my college entrance. However, I was spending so much time in the hospital I figured I should be paid for it so switched my major from Home Economics to Nursing. I met husband #1 while at the U of A and married after graduating in the spring of 1974. That led to a move to Charleston, South Carolina where I lived for eight years. I worked for awhile then went back to the Medical University of South Carolina to train as an anesthetist. I was in school during our ten year reunion and was unable to get home for that one. In 1981 I divorced and in 1982 I moved to upstate South Carolina where I have been ever since. Greenville is about halfway between Charlotte and Atlanta on the I-85 corridor. It was a bit slow and backwards when I moved here but has since blossomed into a wonderful place. Lots of industry here (BMW USA, Michelin USA, Bausch and Lomb, Peptol Bismol, etc.) It used to be known as the textile belt of the country but a lot of mills have closed. We have a large foreign population here which has increased the demand for good restaurants, entertainment and services previously unavailble. Right at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains, it is very scenic with lots of lakes, boating, hiking and biking. I met husband #2 here and remarried in 1986. A really funny guy so there are few dull moments in our household. I remember being terribly shy and feeling like such a geek in high school. Thankfully, since then I have "come out of my shell"!!!! I have no children of my own but a 30 year old stepdaughter with whom I am close. My one great disappointment is having no children of my own. Other than that, it has been a great ride (full of ups and downs). I took flying lessons in college and have a pilot's license. I have had the opportunity to travel a lot but still have a lot more to do (God willing)! Key West and Bermuda are my favorite getaway places. I am looking forward to seeing many of you in October. In the meantime, should you find yourself in South Carolina, give us a call. I have become a southern girl at heart and hospitality is our specialty!!
